HAMILTON & INCHES JEWELLERY
Hamilton & Inches jewellery has always been synonymous
with the finest quality and craftsmanship. We work with the
best craftsmen and designers to create a collection that mixes
modern and traditional elements in a wide price range. We
are well known for the finest selection of engagement rings
and our in-house designer is often asked to create unique
designs for clients for those special occasions.
  
 
DESIGNS BY NATHALIE HAMBRO
The Alliance Collection is an imaginative collaboration between
Nathelie Hambor, one of Britain's most outstanding accessory
designer and Hamilton & Inches' workshops. Nathelie has
reinterpreted Victorian sentimental jewellery in a modern
way using silver, stainless steel chainmail and gemstones
that reflect the colour of the Scottish landscape. Texture
is important, both in the physical character of the Collection
and also in its spirit. Secret words are incorporated into
the designs, including 'Be True' from the Hamilton Crest and
'Mon Coeur Avez' from Old French, giving this New Alliance
a period Scottish character. A small hammered bead with an
HI logo and a cabochon amethyst appears on almost every design.
A new Hamilton tartan in lilac and green has been commissioned
for accessories.
  
 
DESIGNS BY ANNABEL JONES
Annabel Jones is known for its contemporary and affordable
designs in jewellery, silver and silver plate. The ideal wedding
gift is easy to find among the highly individual designs and
jewellery can be bought to accessorise outfits for any occasion.
Both the Edinburgh and London stores will stock a large collection
of Annabel Jones' designs, some of which are shown here.
  
 
LUXURY BRAND AND HAMILTON & INCHES
SILVER
Hamilton & Inches represents some of the finest brands
in the world including Patek Phillippe, Cartier, Smythson
and Tanner Krolle. Hamilton & Inches' Scottish silver
is unique to us and is designed and made by our own craftsmen
above the showroom in Edinburgh.
THE BUTE HOUSE COLLECTION
This unique collection is an exciting example of contemporary
Scottish silversmithing drawn from a variety of smiths and
is on permanent loan to Bute House, the official residence
of the First Minister of Scotland. The collection was commissioned
by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh.
The centrepiece and candlesticks were designed by Nicola Williams
and made in the Hamilton & Inches workshops. The design
features the Lion Rampart, which is one of Scotland's heraldic
beasts and the symbol for sterling silver in Scotland. The
many skills used in making these pieces have been passed down
from one Scottish craftsman to another over the centuries.
 
By special permission of the First Minister, a limited edition
of the Bute House Collection is to be made available for sale
by invitation only. Hamilton & Inches is delighted to
be involved with this charitable initiative and has produced
10 centrepieces and 100 pairs of candlesticks. All net proceeds
from the sale will be applied by the Scottish Community Foundation
in support of local charitable activity and the Scottish Goldsmiths
Trust in furtherance of the craft of the goldsmith.
This is a unique opportunity to own a highly significant
piece of modern Scottish silver and through its purchase to
contribute directly to the benefit of communities throughout
Scotland.
